One of our blogger was planning holidays with friends, and one of them really wants to go to Vietnam, he read a couple of interesting articles about places to visit there.
Vietnam is one of the South Asian countries which has progressively become an attractive place for tourists. In early 2011, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism has decided to increase its efforts in ecotourism, one of the fast growing form of tourism.
The Ministry mainly wants to focus on 'Homestays', so we will book rooms in a homestay it if we go.
One of the famous spot is in Ba'Vi, a city close to Hanoi.
Ba Vi is known for its National Park, with almost 12 000ha. Most of the homestays will enjoy the comfortable position of the National Park.
Ba Vi supports 812 species of vascular plant but also more than 40 mammal species, 114 bird species, 15 reptile species and nine amphibian species.
Ba Vi National Park is also an important source for local communities. Medicinal plant collection is
one of the major economic activity as the Dao ethnic group extracts almost 250 tonnes of those plants for its researches.
